Rollins / Orkin Acquires TruTech, Inc.

Orkin acquired TruTech, Inc. from Stan Olstein and Lenny Beck. Incorporated in 1984 and established as a pest control company in the early 1990s, Trutech today has over one hundred employees and a presence in seven states and continues to grow and seek new markets. Each of the locations is essentially managed and serviced out of the corporate headquarters in Marietta, Georgia.

Trutech was founded and continues to be led by Stan Olstein and Lenny Beck. Olstein traces his roots in the pest control business back to the 1960’s when he was hired by Orkin as a technician in Miami, Florida. Olstein’s leadership and managerial skills were recognized and he rose through the Orkin management track, eventually reaching the position of Vice President for the Southeast Region. Olstein left Orkin in 1988 to establish his own enterprise and eventually gravitated toward the industry that he knew best. Beck’s experience in the pest control industry began when he met Olstein in 1986. Olstein recognized the talent and drive in Beck and when he left Orkin to pursue his own business, he hired Beck and in time, Beck was given the opportunity to become a partner. While hundreds of companies offer pest control services, Trutech is among a select few that offer a full range of wildlife and animal control services.
