Rentokil / JC Ehrlich Acquires Atlantic Pest Solutions of NH

Rentokil’s North American Pest Control division has acquired Atlantic Pest Solutions.

Atlantic Pest Solutions will operate as a part of JC Ehrlich. Over the course of the last six months Rentokil has acquired over $170 million in sales through the acquisitions of Western Exterminators, Eden Advanced and Atlantic Pest Solutions.

Rentokil Initial acquires the assets of Western Exterminator Company

Rentokil Initial plc (”Rentokil”) has agreed to acquire the assets of Western Exterminator Company (”Western”), a leading pest control company on the US West Coast, for an initial cash consideration of $99.6m, with a deferred consideration of up to $15.0m payable within 18 months, from existing financial facilities. Ehrlich/Rentokil Acquires Shamrock Pest Management

READING, Pa. – Shamrock Pest Management, headquartered in Middletown, N.Y., has entered into an agreement to join Ehrlich Pest Control. The announcement was made by Victor Hammel, Ehrlich President and CEO of Rentokil North America.

Shamrock services Westchester, Rockland, Ulster, Sullivan, and Orange Counties in New York as well as a portion of northern New Jersey. Shamrock was co-owned by Brian and Benette DeVera. The company has a strong residential focus and was well-known for the Clover Program, an ongoing pest prevention program. (more…)

Consolidation Continues in the Pest Control Industry

On January 24th, 2006, slightly more than three weeks into the New Year, one of the largest pest control companies in Europe, Rentokil Initial, announced its aggressive acquisition of J.C. Ehrlich Company, the 4th largest pest control company in the United States. The Reading, PA-based J.C. Ehrlich is the largest independently owned pest control company in the U.S. according to the PCT Top 100 list. While the pest control industry saw an active acquisition market in 2005, this year may prove to be stronger. A combination of various market forces has contributed to this consolidation: strong growth in industry demand, low capital gains tax rates, low cost of capital, and high valuations. (more…)
