ISS Expanding Into Pest Control in Mexico

Copenhagen, 11 November 2007 – ISS is expanding its operations in Mexico with the acquisition of the pest control business Martex S.A. de C.V.

Martex has been on the Mexican market for over 50 years, and its brand name ‘Rodex’ has become a household name for effective pest control services. Martex is the third largest pest control company in Mexico and the company generated revenues of almost DKK 12.2 million in 2006 and has 76 employees.

With the acquisition of Martex, ISS is expanding its newly established cleaning operations in Mexico to also include pest control.

“ISS Mexico experiences that more and more customers are asking for a ‘one-stop’ solution for specialty services like pest control, and with the strong foundation and professional services of ‘Rodex’ as part of our offering, our national network will be able to offer our customers a complete integrated solution,” says COO Stig Pastwa from the ISS Group.

It is an important part of the ISS Group strategy to expand operations in Latin America so that ISS can offer services in all main business areas in our country operations. Since launching operations in Mexico in May, 2006, ISS has consolidated its presence to cover all main economical areas of Mexico, with 11,500 employees and is now a leading multi-service provider in Mexico.
